Rosemarie Denunzio receiving the Killarney Award for Outstanding Service from outgoing OAS Treasurer Jim Keron. The announcement of the award to Rosemarie had been made earlier by OAS President Neal Ferris during the annual OAS symposium banquet held in Windsor, Ontario, November 9-11, 2012.

Rosemarie Denunzio received the Killarney Award, a reward for longstanding involvement in the OAS. Rosemarie received her B.A. in Anthropology at the University of Windsor in 1985 and her M.A. in Anthropology in 1992 from Wayne State University. She has worked closely with the City of Windsor on many committees including the Archaeology Committee, the Heritage Committee and the Museum Committee and promoted the advancement of an Archaeological Master Plan for the City of Windsor. She has undertaken archaeology on all of the registered sites in Olde Sandwich Towne (Windsor). Ms. Denunzio specializes in military and domestic historical archaeology, working on projects with the Ontario Heritage Trust, Parks Canada, Mackinac Island State Park Commission and consultant work in the Windsor area. She began teaching at Wayne State University and has spent the last twenty years teaching at the University of Windsor. Ms. Denunzio has also spent thirty-two years on the executive of the Windsor Chapter of the Ontario Archaeological Society.
